{"id":342,"date":"2016-11-05T08:32:39","date_gmt":"2016-11-05T08:32:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jb0.de\/?p=342"},"modified":"2016-11-05T09:10:16","modified_gmt":"2016-11-05T09:10:16","slug":"telemetry-mod-for-dji-phantom-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jb0.de\/?p=342","title":{"rendered":"Telemetry mod for DJI Phantom 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After my <a href=\"http:\/\/jb0.de\/?p=326\">Y6-Copter with APM<\/a>, I also want to see telemetry data of the Phantom 1, which isn&#8217;t capable on its own to transmit any data.<\/p>\n<p>The original PPM receiver (Single antenna) got swapped by a FrSky XRS, which is amazingly small and has PPM, S.Bus and S.Port.<\/p>\n<p>The translation between Naza-GPS and S.Port is done by an arduino nano which is connected to FrSky-S.Bus on Pin9 and to GPS Tx on Rx (also power from the receiver cable).<br \/>\nI used the software by Alezz in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgroups.com\/forums\/showthread.php?t=2197099&amp;page=2\">this<\/a>\u00a0thread but had to make some changes to get it running. My changed version is <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Trueffelwurm\/naza2frsky_S.Port\">online at GitHub<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some Pictures of the harness with the arduino and the Installation in 1234.5678 means 12\u00b034.567&#8242;<\/p>\n<p>I still have some trouble with the GPS coordinates, sometimes just the Longitude will be transmitted and Latitude is just 000 but this will be updated as soon as I get further.<br \/>\nAlso I&#8217;m a little confused about the &#8220;Alt&#8221; &#8220;Galt&#8221; and the &#8220;Alt&#8221; on the GPS screen.
